Report: WWE Has Interest In Multiple Expiring AEW Contracts

WWE has an interest in multiple expiring AEW contracts.

Bodyslam’s Mark (@WrestleMobs) is reporting on WWE’s interest in a number of AEW stars approaching the tail end of their contracts. According to the report, the company is eyeing Danhausen and the tag team of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen (aka Private Party).

All three stars are believed to have their contracts up imminently, per the report. This also indicates that “movement could happen sooner rather than later.” This seemingly confirms Fightful Select’s report about Danhausen’s contract expiring in July. The report also mentioned WWE’s preliminary interest in Private Party.

Private Party has been with All Elite Wrestling since April 2019, before the company’s TV deal with Turner had even been announced. The pair finally won the AEW World Tag Team Championship in 2024 from the Young Bucks. However, they lost the titles to The Hurt Syndicate 84 days later. The January 2025 title loss is also the last time Private Party was seen on AEW TV.

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho’s contract is also reportedly expiring by year-end. Jericho has been with All Elite Wrestling since day one and is the company’s inaugural world champion. Y2J has been on hiatus since the conclusion of his feud with Bandido.

Speaking of Bandido, the ROH World Champion will be in action on the 300th episode of AEW Dynamite. He joins forces with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong against Konosuke Takeshita and the Young Bucks in six-man tag team action.
