Report: Big AEW Contract Set To Expire Next Month

One of AEW‘s most popular but rarely used stars is reportedly set to see his contract expire next month.

One of All Elite Wrestling’s biggest merchandise movers over the last several years, Danhausen, hasn’t been utilized by the company since a surprise appearance last year at Ring of Honor Final Battle in December. But it appears his time with the company will be coming to an end.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Danhausen’s contract with AEW is set to expire sometime in July. The only thing that would prevent this is if the company decided to add injury time to the deal, which is something the company has rarely done, so it’s not expected to happen here.

Danhausen’s close friendship with CM Punk is well-known. So we would be surprised if that doesn’t result in WWE bringing him in.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on the free agent status of Danhausen as it becomes available.
