Update on When Current TNA Champion’s Contract Expires

Steve Maclin could be on his way out of TNA.

TNA International Champion Steve Maclin is nearing the end of his current deal with TNA Wrestling, which is set to expire in December 2025. According to Fightful Select, Maclin remains under contract through the end of the year.

The reports also mentioned that the company is preparing for a busy contract season during that period. As several other wrestlers are also expected to have their deals come up for renewal. However, it’s not yet clear which other wrestlers have contracts set to expire at that time.

Steve Maclin delivered an impressive year in the company. At Rebellion in April 2024, he confirmed he would remain with the company after signing a new deal. A year later at Unbreakable, Maclin made history by defeating Eric Young and AJ Francis to become the inaugural TNA International Champion.

Steve Maclin most recently competed at a TNA Impact taping. There, he defended his International Championship against Jake Something and Mance Warner.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the year, it will be interesting to see whether Maclin chooses to re-sign with TNA or explore other opportunities. His wife, Deonna Purrazzo, is currently signed with AEW, raising the question of whether Maclin could eventually join her there. Only time will tell.
