AEW star MJF isn’t finished with Mistico yet.
The “Salt Of The Earth” made that clear after he shockingly attacked him on MLW in a surprise return to the promotion. MJF and Mistico, formerly known as Sin Cara in WWE, have been feuding for weeks. Their latest clash happened last week on AEW Grand Slam: Mexico at Arena México in Mexico City. The match ended when MJF hit Mistico with a low blow, causing a disqualification.
After the match, MJF alongside The Hurt Syndicate, stirred more drama. He grabbed Mistico’s mask, showed it off to the fans, then wore it himself and flipped off the crowd. This disrespectful act caused outrage. Later that night, a fan reportedly confronted MJF at a hotel near the airport. The report confirmed MJF wasn’t hurt, but he seemed proud of how much heat he got.
The feud continued on MLW’s Summer of the Beasts. Mistico came out with a microphone, ready to address the fans. Before he could, masked members of Contra Unit rushed in and attacked him. Mistico fought them off until one last attacker in a mask took him down with a low blow.
The masked man took off the Contra mask to reveal a Mistico mask underneath. Then, he removed that mask to show it was MJF all along. The fans went wild as MJF had a message for him, stating their rivalry is far from over.
MJF delivers a warning to Mistico at MLW Summer of the Beasts
After attacking Mistico, MJF grabbed a microphone and made it clear their rivalry wasn’t over. He warned that the next time they face off, he plans to punish Mistico severely. MJF also vowed to disrespect Mistico’s country, his supporters, and CMLL itself.
He said, “Mistico, while you’re laying down there holding your little… I need you to listen to me real quick. I ain’t through with you yet, boy not by a long shot. We’re going to wrestle again, and when we do, I am going to beat you within an inch of your life. And that’s after I’m done making a mockery of your country, your countrymen, and your company, CMLL. Listen puta madre, cabrón listen. Because my name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and I’m better than you and you know it.”
