Report: Update On Bryan Danielson’s AEW Status

Bryan Danielson turned a lot of heads this week when he got physical in Arena Mexico during Ring of Honor Global Wars.

Wednesday night in Arena Mexico, Bryan Danielson got physical in the ring after a match between Lee Moriarty and Blue Panther. Danielson came to Panther’s aid and hit Shane Taylor with a busaiku knee.

So what does this potentially mean for his in-ring future with All Elite Wrestling?

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), no one in AEW has told him that Danielson ended up having neck surgery following his full-time retirement at WrestleDream last year. The expectation within the company is that Danielson would end up competing again at some point. Following Global Wars on Wednesday, that expectation was solidified even more.

Sapp confirms that things with Wheeler Yuta using Danielson’s moves were done by design to give him something to do immediately upon his return.

While not competing in the ring, Danielson continues to work as a creative consultant for the company.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on Bryan Danielson’s potential in-ring future as it becomes available.
