Bryan Danielson Makes Run-In After AEW Grand Slam Mexico Went Off Air

Fans got a big surprise after AEW Grand Slam Mexico went air off as Bryan Danielson made his shocking return.

AEW Grand Slam Mexico took place in Mexico City, Mexico, at Arena México. The show highlighted the growing partnership between AEW and CMLL, showcasing talent from both promotions.

Following the show went off the air, Blue Panther faced Lee Moriarty in a match taped for ROH x CMLL Global Wars. After the match, Moriarty, The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean), and Shane Taylor attacked Panther.

That’s when Bryan Danielson returned and a few other babyfaces rushed to the ring to help. The fans in arena exploded with cheers as Danielson made his surprise return. Fans chanted “Yes” chants as he hit the ring and even nailed his Busaiku Knee on Shane Taylor.

After saving Blue Panther, Bryan Danielson hugged him, which made the crowd cheer even louder. This marked his first in-ring appearance in AEW since his emotional “retirement from full-time competition” at WrestleDream 2024.

Bryan Danielson hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since he lost the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024. Ever since, fans have been wondering when former AEW World Champion will come back.

He recently said he wasn’t cleared to wrestle and had been dealing with a few injuries. Still, he got involved in the action during his surprise return in Mexico, which got fans talking. Now, fans are left to wonder: Was this a sign that Danielson is cleared? Could he be getting ready for a part-time return to the ring? Only time will tell.
