Shotzi Blackheart reflects on working with Triple H in NXT.
Former WWE superstar Shotzi Blackheart recently appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show where she was asked about her time working under Paul “Triple H” Levesque in the original black and gold NXT.
Shotzi had nothing but praise for WWE’s Chief Content Officer and put over Hunter for his hands-on approach with the talent.
“Amazing, like seeing Hunter work in, especially in that area era, I learned so much ’cause he was so hands on with NXT,” she said. “I’m sure with main roster he has so many things to juggle, right? So I didn’t see him as much on the main roster, but like he was hands on for NXT and just like there through everything. And yeah, working with him at that time and because also like I was on every show back then, so I got to work with him a lot. It was really awesome and I learned so much from Hunter.”
Shotzi Blackheart explains her controversial indie payout claim
Elsewhere in the interview, Shotzi was asked to explain her controversial claim she made more in two days working independents that what she earned in WWE. She revealed her payouts included a mix of online merch sales, meet and greets, and match fee.
“Yeah, that’s me hustling though. That’s me including what I sold online, meet and greets, and the payout for my matches, of course. I know that’s not going to be like that forever, because when you first get back on the indies, everyone is hyped and wants to buy your merch. I know that won’t be forever, but it felt good that, you know, I can make it on my own.” [H/T Ringside News]
Shotzi Blackheart also talked about becoming “Indie Goddess,” a claim that quickly prompted threat of legal action from fellow indie superstar Matt Cardona. Fans will have to wait to see what’s next in what seems to be a brewing hostility between Cardona and Blackheart.
