Joe Hendry Breaks Silence After TNA World Title Loss

Joe Hendry breaks his silence after losing the TNA World title.

Hendry shockingly lost the TNA World title at WWE NXT Battleground to Trick Williams. Williams’ win left fans stunned, especially as he hasn’t appeared on TNA programming since claiming the company’s top title.

On this week’s WWE NXT, Williams defended the championship against Mike Santana. Williams retained the title in controversial fashion due to First Class’ interference. Meanwhile, Hendry, who had remained silent since Battleground, made his first appearance back on TNA Impact.

In a backstage segment, Joe Hendry expressed regret over letting down both the fans and his fellow wrestlers. Hendry also questioned Trick Williams’ respect for the championship, emphasizing that the World Title belongs to a true TNA competitor.

Although Hendry made it clear he wants another shot at the title, he acknowledged that the spotlight currently belongs to Elijah, who is set to challenge for the championship at TNA Against All Odds. Before he could finish, Frankie Kazarian interrupted and mocked him, dismissing Hendry’s emotional response and questioning his worth as a champion.

He told Hendry to stop acting like some saint and criticized him for acting like a self-proclaimed savior of TNA. He called him out saying, “When you would go home after rightfully, probably being bullied in school and you watched TNA, who were you watching, Joe? Look at me, you son of a b*tch. You were watching me. You were watching Frankie Kazarian build his kingdom. And you’re right you didn’t lose to just anybody. You lost to someone who’s not even on our roster. That’s embarrassing.”

Kazarian ended the confrontation by vowing to humiliate Hendry again at Against All Odds. They are now scheduled to face off in a singles match this weekend at TNA Against All Odds.
