Eddie Kingston isn’t a fan of backstage information being leaked to the wrestling media.
Earlier this week, a report came out from Fightful Select regarding the finish of the AEW Double or Nothing main event between Hangman Page and Will Ospreay.
This information has been met with a mixed reaction for a variety of reasons. But one AEW talent who isn’t thrilled about this backstage news getting out is Eddie Kingston.
The All Elite Wrestling star took to his Instagram Stories following this report, claiming he knows who is responsible for leaking the news, posting the following caption:
“People know who leaked it. You f*cking jerkoff,” Eddie Kingston said in a post.
Update: Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful read the following statement credited to Kingston, who reached out after the initial remarks caught traction. Kingston now says he doesn’t actually know who spoke with Sapp, and he was just upset. He also apologized to Sapp for unintentionally causing him any problems.
“Yo, my dude, I have no idea who talked to you. I was just being a dick. Wanted to see who would maybe put themselves out by asking if I am talking about them. But for real, the only thing that got me mad was a friend calling me a gatekeeper and I have no idea what that means. My bad if I caused you problems, you can quote me if you want.”

When will Eddie Kingston return to AEW?
With Gabe Kidd recently appearing on AEW programming to align with Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, many believed this could mean Kingston was on his way back to the company. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
Kingston gave the following statement to PWInsider regarding his progress in returning to the ring:
“I am not there. I have started running in the ring, I am still doing physical therapy and I am mentally better,” Kingston said. “Yet again, as people know, it’s a struggle, but being able to be in the ring again and work out with PT and working out with Cezar [Bononi] is helping my mental health, let alone my body. I can finally feel the ball is moving in the right direction.”
