Darby Allin Comments On Reaching Summit Of Mount Everest

Darby Allin successfully completed his attempt to climb Mount Everest.

AEW star Darby Allin reached the summit of the mountain, which sits at an elevation of 29,032 feet, on Sunday. AEW acknowledged the climb by sharing the following post:

Darby Allin commemorated his trek by planting an AEW flag at the top of the mountain. He later posted the following message on Instagram, thanking AEW and his climbing team for their respective roles in his impressive journey:

“Mount Everest summit. What a ride thanks @aew for everything in life. Thanks to the amazing team at adventure consultants and the Sherpa squad this shit was wild!”

Allin’s post also included him holding an AEW flag at the top of the mountain along with a video showing his perspective on top of the peak.

Darby Allin’s climb of Mount Everest is months in the making

Darby Allin began his climb of Mt. Everest on April 8, 2025, and he had been training for the ascent for several months. Allin’s group began their climb in Nepal, and he set a world record for the highest elevation kickflip during the ascent.

This is actually Allin’s second attempt at making the climb, as he planned to do it in 2024. However, a broken foot sustained during a match with Jay White in March 2024 caused his trip to be delayed until this year.

Allin will now return home after completing his descent, and will likely need a few weeks’ recovery time before he ends up back on AEW TV. AEW originally had plans for Darby Allin on AEW TV this month, but that does not look like he’ll be back in time for it to happen.

Congratulations, Darby Allin!
