Fans tuned into tonight’s episode of AEW Collision were greeted by a surprise, as the show ended early and instead began airing the 2022 film Black Adam.
The show, which usually runs around for about two hours, abruptly ended on HBO Max on Saturday after 90 minutes. What began playing was Dwayne Johnson’s superhero movie. This immediately led to fans joking that The Rock had shut down the broadcast.
However, Tony Khan was quick to take to social media to explain the actual reason. While no official reason for the issues were given, Khan explained what would happen with the show moving forward tonight.
In a post shortly after Collision went dark, Khan said that the company was having “technical problems” with the show. Khan went on to say that the show, in its entirety, would be put on HBO Max shortly, as well as running normally on TNT West beginning at 11:00 p.m. EST.
“We’re having technical problems with our studio transmission of Saturday [AEW Collision] tonight!” said Khan in his post. “I’m sorry for the inconvenience to all of you great fans! We’ll have the complete show up on [HBO Max, and] in its entirety on [TNT] West.”
