AEW Dynamite saw another decrease in viewership on April 23 as the show aired live from coast to coast due to the NHL Playoffs.
According to Wrestlenomics, 521,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and the show drew a 0.14 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 624,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.17 rating in the same demographic.

This week’s episode of Dynamite had a lot going against it. Between the live coast-to-coast airing, which has never been a positive for AEW, Dynamite also went head-to-head with the NBA and NHL Playoffs.
Viewership for Wednesday’s show on MAX is unknown at this time.
What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?
This week’s show kicked off with The Opps and Master P celebrating their AEW Trios Title victory. They were interrupted by the Death Riders, The Elite, Swerve Strickland, and Kenny Omega.
The Young Bucks returned to action and picked up a win over Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight.
In another tag team match, Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander defeated Will Ospreay and Brody King.
The main event of the show saw Jamie Hayter defeat Kris Statlander in the semi-finals of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament. After the match, Mercedes Moné came out to stare down Hayter to end the show.
