This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicks off with Tony Schiavone in the ring, who brings out Master P.

Samoa Joe says the best city to celebrate a championship win is in New Orleans. The Death Riders hit the ring and attack The Opps from behind. Jon Moxley stares down Master P, and P buys The Opps enough time for Samoa Joe to choke Moxley only. Master P gets a few shots in on Mox and tells Joe to put him to sleep.
This brings out the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada, who attack Samoa Joe with a steel chair. Moxley goes to confront The Elite but is quickly pulled out of the ring by Marina Shafir. Swerve Strickland’s music hits and comes out through the crowd. The Elite try to escape up the aisle, but Kenny Omega comes out on the stage with a steel chair of his own. The Elite hightail it out into the crowd to get away from all of their enemies.

Is Nick Wayne tiring of listening to Christian Cage?
The Patriarchy are backstage with Renee Paquette. Nick Wayne is asked about winning the Ring of Honor Television Title and is interrupted by Christian Cage, who takes Wayne’s title and puts it on his shoulder, and says the congratulations should go to him because it was his idea and his plan.
Wayne talks back and says when you follow the plan, you win championships and tries to take his title back, but Christian won’t let it go. He hands it over to Wayne and says he loves his family before walking away.
Nick Wayne is the new ROH World TV Champion — but is Christian Cage the reason why?

Ricochet vs. Mark Briscoe
- The finish of the match saw Ricochet try to use the ropes for leverage to pin Mark Briscoe, but Briscoe reverses it into a rollup of his own to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Mark Briscoe
After the match, Ricochet attacks Mark Briscoe with a steel chair. He brings out the gold scissors and looks to do more damage, but Kevin Knight makes the save and chases off Ricochet.
Grade: A-
What a fantastic opener between Ricochet and Briscoe. I never thought for a second that Ricochet was going to lose, so Briscoe pulling out the win got a pop out of me. Knight continuing his feud with Ricochet will probably lead to Ricochet costing him and Speedball their match against the Young Bucks later tonight.
FTR gets a new agent
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and tries to introduce FTR, but he’s interrupted by Stokely Hathaway, who introduces FTR instead.
Stokely Hathaway says FTR was fined and suspended for their actions, but runs down all the crimes that other members of the AEW roster have committed and haven’t been punished for. Hathaway says he will have FTR’s suspension expunged from their record, and he will get them their fine money back.
Stokely Hathaway is the new WHAT for FTR?!

Hathaway says he is the new agent for FTR and tells Schiavone to do his job. Cash Wheeler says what happened with Daniel Garcia wasn’t an easy decision for them, but he left them no choice. Wheeler says 2point0 started things by getting in their face.
Wheeler says they helped Garcia when every other legend left them high and dry. Cash says they will be putting FTR first from now on. Dax Harwood asks the Rock n’ Roll Express, who are sitting in the crowd, to join them in the ring.
Harwood puts them over and asks them what their greatest match ever was. Before they could answer, Harwood says it was their match in Philly against the Midnight Express. Harwood says the Midnights were better than them. Ricky and Robert have had enough and start talking back to FTR. Stokely interrupts and reveals FTR’s new shirt that says “Living Legend Killers,” and they attack Ricky and Robert. Hitting Ricky with a spike piledriver before Paragon hits the run and sends FTR and Stokley running.

The Young Bucks vs. Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight
- The finish of the match saw Ricochet distract Kevin Knight long enough for the Young Bucks to capitalize and hit him with the EVP Trigger to score the pinfall victory.
Winners: The Young Bucks
Grade: A
Amazing matchup! Knight and Speedball worked like a tag team that’s been together forever. The Young Bucks don’t look like they’ve lost a step for their time off, and this match simply ruled. I called the Ricochet interference earlier, so the finish made sense.
A new challenger for Toni Storm on Collision
Toni Storm and Luther are backstage. Storm issues a challenge for a match on Collision, and a returning Queen Aminata accepts her challenge.

MJF once again tries to join The Hurt Syndicate on AEW Dynamite
The Hurt Syndicate make their way to the ring, and MVP mentions that every team they take out aren’t seen again for a while, and the Gates of Agony will be no different. MVP says Bobby Lashley has something to say. But before Lashley can talk, MJF arrives at the building and interrupts again. Friedman comes to the ring and asks for the three thumbs up after the good time they had last week.
Will MJF get all three thumbs up from The Hurt Syndicate tonight?!

MVP gives the thumbs up. Benjamin gives one as well, but says he’s doing it for MVP and not because of the women and the watch. Friedman says he’s cool with that. Friedman makes another pitch to Lashley to tell him what he brings to the Syndicate that he can’t. MJF says if Lashley lets him in, they don’t run just AEW, they’ll run all of professional wrestling.
Friedman says he knows they got off on the wrong foot, and after several attempts to say it, finally says he’s sorry. MJF says if Lashley gives him a thumbs up, he can have the car he pulled up to the venue in. Lashley asks to see the keys, and MJF tells him they are in the back. They all head backstage to take a look at the car.
Backstage, MJF hands Lashley the keys. Lashley and Benjamin get in the car. MJF asks for the thumbs up, but Lashley gives him a thumbs down, and they drive away. MJF goes to freak out, but MVP calms him down and reminds him to give the people what they want.
Is a brand new car from MJF enough for a thumbs up from The Almighty Bobby Lashley?!

A heated exchange between Hangman Page and MJF
Hangman Page is backstage with Renee Paquette. Page says when he gets his hands on Kyle Fletcher, he’s going to put him in the ground. MJF interrupts, and the two go back and forth trading barbs with one another. Friedman says Hangman is working through the Owen, and he’ll go through the backdoor with The Hurt Syndicate to get another shot a the AEW World Title.
Hangman says he doesn’t understand how joining The Hurt Syndicate gets him any closer to the World Title, but Friedman knows he can’t win matches, and he can’t hang with him in the Owen. MJF makes fun of Page for not understanding his intentions with the Hurt Syndicate and says if Hangman gets to the finals of the Owen, he’ll do what he does best, choke.

Will Ospreay and Brody King vs. Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander (w/ Don Callis)
- The finish of the match saw interference from Lance Archer, which led to Josh Alexander hitting Brody King with a C4 Spike to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Winners: The Don Callis Family
After the match, The Don Callis Family continue their attack on King and Ospreay. This brings out Kyle Fletcher, who looks to attack Ospreay, but this brings out Hangman Page. Before Page can get to the ring, he’s jumped from behind by Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero. Fletcher hits Page with a sheerdrop brainbuster, and the family stands tall.
The might of the Don Callis Family is undeniable!

A very good tag match and completely different from the tag match we got earlier in the show. Both matches shined in their own way. The aftermath proves that despite getting hit with the injury bug recently, The Don Callis Family has rebuilt and is stronger than ever.
Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament Semi-Finals: Jamie Hayter vs. Kris Statlander
- The finish of the match saw Jamie Hayter hit Kris Statlander with Hayterade to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Jamie Hatyer
Grade: A-
Mercedes Moné came out and had a staredown with Hayter as AEW Dynamite goes off the air.
AEW Dynamite Review:
Holy cow! What a great show tonight! I know everyone was talking about last week’s episode of Dynamite being an all-timer, but I feel like they followed that up with another one this week that was even better. This is how AEW will continue to rebuild its popularity. Ignore the outside noise and focus on your product. It seems they’ve been doing that a lot lately, and it’s starting to pay off for them.
Grade: A
