Saraya is reflecting on her run in All Elite Wrestling.
Former AEW and WWE Superstar Saraya recently spoke with MuscleManMalcolm. When asked about stepping away from the ring after her recent departure from AEW, Saraya said if she wrestles again she intends to get in a great deal of training with Natalya to get back to a place she’s happy with as she admits she hadn’t been giving it her all these past few years.
“If I do wrestle again, I’m gonna take this year to step outside of it,” Saraya said. “I will be going to Nattie’s [Natalya Neidhart’s] training school, getting some reps under me, so then when I do come back, I’m back to being how I wrestled before. Because I felt like I wasn’t giving it my entire all these past couple of years. I know that I was frustrated with myself. I know I could be better than that. So I’m gonna go back and, like, relearn my life again.”
Saraya hasn’t spoken with WWE about a potential return
When asked about a potential return to WWE at some point, Saraya said she hasn’t had a conversation with them, echoing her initial comments to WrestleZone about the rumors she’s headed back there. However, if something special was presented to her, she’d do it.
“It’s nice to know that people care and want me back there in WWE, but I haven’t had a conversation with them,” Saraya said. “I just want people to know that, like. I haven’t spoken to them in any way. But if there’s something special on the horizon, I would do it, just depending on a lot of things. I love that place. It’s where I grew up. They raised me.
“They supported me through everything when I should have got fired; they are amazing. So I always have wonderful things to say about them. Now that I’m a free agent, I feel comfortable to show my love for everyone, you know. I love AEW, I love WWE. I just had the best wrestling career that I could ask for. But I know that there’s still stuff left in the tank, so we’ll see where that ends up.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
