AND NEW! — Bandido is the new Ring Of Honor World Champion, thanks to a little “help” from his family at AEW Dynasty.
It looked like Chris Jericho was going to keep his ROH World Championship and win Bandido’s mask after hitting his opponent with a baseball bat. Jericho took advantage of Bryan Keith and Gravity fighting at ringside and hit Bandido with his bat, “Floyd.” His attack initially went unnoticed as referees Bruce Remsburg and Aubrey Edwards were trying to restore order.
Remsburg made the count, and it looked like Jericho picked up the win. Bandido’s family, who was sitting at ringside, screamed about the baseball bat being used. Edwards then brought them over the barricade to show what they’d seen. Edwards found the bat that Jericho stashed by the ring steps and demanded the match be restarted. Jericho tried to pull Bandido’s wife in the ring, but Bandido ran over and attacked him.
Bandido threw Jericho into the ropes and hit the 21 Plex for the win, much to the delight of his family and the Philadelphia crowd.
Bandido has done it and is now the NEW ROH World Champion!

Bandido’s history with the ROH World title
Jericho’s second ROH World title reign ends at 160 days. This is Bandido’s second ROH title reign, and first since 2021. He won the title when Sinclair Broadcast Group still owned the promotion, but unfortunately had to vacate the title after 152 days due to testing positive for COVID-19 ahead of Final Battle 2021. He never got a chance to defend his title again, as Jonathan Gresham beat Jay Lethal for the vacant title at Final Battle, the last PPV event under Sinclair’s ownership.
Once Tony Khan bought the promotion, Bandido did ultimately get a shot at Gresham in a match to determine the Undisputed ROH World Champion at Supercard Of Honor XV. However, Gresham won the match and retained his title.
