Dax Harwood Comments On Tommy Billington Signing With AEW

Tommy Billington is All Elite, per Dax Harwood.

Recent reports indicated that Tommy Billington, nephew of the late Dynamite Kid, had inked a contract with All Elite Wrestling. This news has since been corroborated by AEW’s own Dax Harwood, who recently wrestled Billington on the May 11 episode of AEW Collision. In an Instagram reel, Harwood addressed the contract situation surrounding Billington, revealing that the 23-year-old was offered a contract the same night as their match.

“I hope he doesn’t mind me saying this, but [Billington] told me about some of his financial woes,” Harwood said. “He had moved himself all the way to Canada to better his opportunities for wrestling. He told me about his financial woes. I told him that night, I said ‘After tonight, we’re going to get you a job.’ We had the match. Obviously, he showed out, and he was offered a contract on the spot, right there. He didn’t accept just yet, but he was offered a contract right on the spot.”

“I know the very next day WWE also reached out to someone close to Tommy and asked about getting him there. There was, I don’t want to say a bidding war, but there was a bit of some power plays. Tom decided he wanted to come to AEW. So I think you’ll see more of Tom Billington in AEW to come.”

Following his in-ring encounter with Harwood, Billington faced off with Konosuke Takeshita on the July 13 episode of AEW Collision. While Billington now finds himself as a member of the AEW family, he also continues to make his rounds on the independent wrestling circuit, primarily in Canada.
