Will Ospreay has earned some time off.
Will Ospreay competed at AEW Double or Nothing, where he beat Roderick Strong to win the AEW International Championship. On the May 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, Ospreay won the Casino Gauntlet Match to earn a world title shot at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Ospreay then defeated Kyle O’Reilly on the June 1 episode of AEW Collision.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Ospreay has this week off after his intense schedule around Double or Nothing. Ospreay is expected to return next week.
Update: Ospreay later commented on the situation. He said that he had this Wednesday off, but then he would be back to work.
Ospreay’s opponent at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will be in action on the June 5 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, Swerve Strickland will defend the AEW World Championship against Roderick Strong.
