Ric Flair Comments On Speculation That He’d Wrestle At AEW Full Gear

Ric Flair says he wishes he could wrestle for AEW. That doesn’t mean you should expect to see him working a match at Full Gear.

Flair recently appeared on the Gabby AF podcast and spoke to Gabby LaSpisa about his new contract with All Elite Wrestling. Flair commented on fans speculating that he was going to be Sting and Darby’s tag partner at Full Gear:

“Ric wishes. [laughs] It’s never gonna happen, but I wish. One last match! Ahhh! Well, I know I can beat Nick Wayne,” Flair quipped.

LaSpisa asked what he would do about Luchasaurus, and Flair joked that he’d let someone else handle him.

“[For Luchasaurus] I’ll probably tag somebody else in for him,” Flair added. “Isn’t Darby phenomenal? The stuff he does. So entertaining, man. Just diving off [to hit the Coffin Drop] from his hands pinned to his sides.”

Flair won’t have to worry about being a competitor in the proposed six-man tag team match at Full Gear. They originally had an unnamed partner, but Sting and Darby Allin will now team with Adam Copeland against Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne. Flair will be at ringside in Sting’s corner, however, as he was Tony Khan’s special gift to Sting for his retirement tour.
