A new report shines some light on Colby Corino‘s contract status.
Previously, Corino was signed to the NWA. He then wrapped up with the company; in January 2023, Corino confirmed that he had entered free agency. At the time, it had been reported that Corino was expected to head to the WWE Performance Center and, if all went well, sign with the company.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reports that when WWE sources were asked about Corino, they replied by noting that he was one of the names affected by the unofficial hiring freeze. Per these sources, Corino has not officially signed a deal, but he was offered a contract, and both sides agreed to it. But following WWE’s deal with Endeavor, the company has paused hiring new talent, and Corino is once again a free agent.
Corino last wrestled at the Deadlock Pro “You Already Know” event on February 25, where he lost a title versus career match against Lucky Ali. In the past, Corino has also wrestled for ICW No Holds Barred, GCW, H2O, and other promotions.
