The Pinnacle likely won’t be remembered as one of the great factions in All Elite Wrestling history, but Dax Harwood believes it could have been if it was presented differently.
The rise and fall of The Pinnacle was the subject of the latest episode of FTR with Dax Harwood. When asked if he thought The Pinnacle was presented was more about MJF than the rest of the faction, Harwood said he thought that was the case and told Friedman as such.
“Yeah, that’s exactly what it seemed like,” Dax Harwood said. “And that’s exactly what I told Max, and you know, we talked about this with the FTRKO episode that Randy [Orton] always made sure and always fought for me and Cash that the three of us were on equal playing field because he said when he was in Evolution, Hunter did the same for him, [Ric] Flair and Batista that they weren’t just cannon fodder for Triple H.
“They were on the same level, and if they were going to take bumps, Hunter was going to take bumps too. And so I tried to explain that to Max, but it just never got through to him, probably because he’s a little too egotistical for his own good. Thinks he knows a little too much for his own good.
“But yeah, again, the segment was all about Max talking and was Max furthering his angle with [Chris] Jericho. And so still, we hadn’t just — speaking for myself and Cash, we hadn’t had an opportunity yet to heat up our stuff with Santana and Ortiz.”
