Triple H says fans will have to watch the show to see how the WWE product will change.
On July 25, Triple H was named as the new head of WWE creative after Vince McMahon retired on July 22. “The Game” had been in charge of NXT dating back to 2010, but he stepped away from these responsibilities due to health issues in September 2021.
During a media scrum in Nashville ahead of WWE SummerSlam, Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc. asked him how the product will be different under him. In response, Triple H encouraged everyone to watch the show.
“You gotta watch the show,” said Triple H. “Gotta watch the show.
He went on to describe how it will take a team to fill McMahon’s shoes, and he’s confident that they’ll succeed in their mission to continue the legacy and take WWE to new heights.
“This is the longest-running stuff on TV, we say it all the time, right. RAW, SmackDown, SummerSlam, everything that we’re going, right,” said Triple H. “They’re a massive pair of shoes to fill that I’m trying in some way to step into. But I do dream for one second that I can fill those shoes by myself, period. It’s gonna take a lot of us. It’s going to take a team. It’s gonna take everybody here to fill those shoes and continue this on, but we will. We will. The intent is to continue the legacy of what has been going on, what made me fall in love with this business that he created and take it to new levels, and take it beyond where it is now.
“The only way we’re gonna do that is with a team. That’s with Steph, that’s with Nick Khan, that’s with myself, that’s with Kevin Dunn, that’s with everybody that is here, that is with all this talent. We have the greatest, hardest-working talent in the world. I have no doubt, I have no doubt in my mind, with this team, that we can do it, not an inkling of doubt. It’s just a lot to hard work, and we’re all gonna grind, and we’re all gonna make it through because we have the greatest fans in the world, and we’re gonna make sure that they get everything they want out of this product and then some.”

Elsewhere during the scrum, when Jon Alba asked him about bringing Paul Heyman into the creative or development process, Triple H again emphasized the collaborative nature of the company going forward.
