Tammy Sytch might need a new lawyer to represent her during her ongoing legal troubles.
Steven deLaroche, the Daytona Beach-based lawyer currently representing Tammy Sytch (aka Sunny) during her DUI Manslaughter case has filed a motion to withdraw himself as her legal counsel. PWInsider.com first reported the filing by deLaroche.
According to the request, deLaroche is asking the court to grant the request due to the following reasons:
An impasse has been reached in the handling of the case, making it impossible for the client and attorney to continue to work cooperatively on the case.
The client has not complied with the terms of the employment agreement with this attorney.
The client will not be prejudiced if the undersigned is permitted to withdraw.
deLaroche filed the request on June 16; the court has not yet responded to the filing.
Tammy Sytch has been in jail since May 13 after having her bail revoked for the DUI manslaughter charges she is awaiting trial for. Sytch was involved in a fatal car accident in March, and she was arrested and formally charged for the incident on May 6 after her toxicology report was complete.
Sytch was charged with nine total counts in relation to a crash that killed a 75-year-old Julian Lasseter. Sytch initially remained free, but prosecutors asked to have her bail revoked, arguing that Sytch was a danger to the community. Sytch had three other DUI convictions before the latest incident, and the state of Florida argued that she violated her probation and was remanded for similar instances.
