Dragon Lee says he can’t work with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
On June 13, Andrade El Idolo stated that he couldn’t work with the promotion, and he “thanked” CMLL and AAA. Luchablog subsequently reported that Andrade and The Lucha Brothers are not scheduled for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Now, Lee has weighed in on the matter; he retweeted Andrade and wrote, “Me neither, damn politics.”

Lee, a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, hasn’t wrestled in an NJPW ring since February 2020. He remains active for AAA Lucha Libre, among other promotions. He had been a two-time Ring of Honor World Television Champion, and he also won the ROH World Tag Team Championship, before the company went on hiatus and Tony Khan acquired it.
