Women’s Wrestling Wrap-Up: Jordynne Grace Headed To WWE Evolution, Kris Statlander Set For EVE Debut, Shotzi Interview

Jordynne Grace punches her ticket to WWE Evolution. Kris Statlander to make her EVE debut. Shotzi speaks with WrestleZone and more!

Jordynne Grace Heads To WWE Evolution

On July 13, WWE will host Evolution, its second ever all-women’s premium live event. The show will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. So far, one match is confirmed, with Jordynne Grace rounding it out on this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

Several NXT locker room members expressed interest in the NXT Women’s Championship. Therefore, NXT General Manager Ava set up an eight-woman eliminator to determine the next challenger to Jacy Jayne. Lash Legend, Izzi Dame, Jaida Parker, and Jordynne Grace progressed through the first portion by winning a quartet of singles contests. The next phase of the elimination then pitted them against each other in a fatal-four-way on Tuesday.

Dame entered the four-way with Tatum Paxley by her side, though that later changed when Sol Ruca and Zaria dragged the raven-haired star to the back. In the match’s final moments, Legend knocked Dame off the apron with an elbow strike, then laid out Parker with a side slam. When she tried to capitalize with a pinfall attempt, however, Grace broke it up with a stomp to Legend’s back. Grace then sent Legend to the outside with a boot, allowing her to finish off Parker with a Torture Rack Bomb for the win.

With this victory, Grace now will challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship at WWE Evolution. This will mark Grace’s third title match of the year, having previously challenged Stephanie Vaquer during her respective reign. Jayne will presumably have her Fatal Influence stablemates Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley by her side for the upcoming occasion.

Kris Statlander To Make EVE Debut

On Wednesdays, we wear pink. On Fridays, we fight…at least that’s what the women of Pro-Wrestling EVE will be doing.

Next Friday, Pro-Wrestling EVE will host a special event in the spirit of the 2004 classic, Mean Girls. In this case, the event is called Mean Grrrls, emanating from London, England. Amongst the card is AEW’s Kris Statlander, who will mark her promotional debut against EVE International Champion Anita Vaughan.

Elsewhere, EVE Champion Nightshade will defend her title against Alexxis Falcon. The EVE Tag Team Championship will also be on the line. Hard Up North (Harley Hudson and Lucy Sky) (c) will be defending them against Big Beefy Bitches (Emersyn Jayne and Rhio).

TNA star Myla Grace returns to EVE to face former International Champion Skye Smitson. Meanwhile, Nina Samuels takes on Safire Reed in a match billed as the Fight To The Finish. Session Moth Martina, Millie McKenzie, Sadie Gibbs, and Lucia Lee round off the event in an Absolute Chaos four-way bout

Back in February, former AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter returned to EVE. In doing so, she defeated Alex Windsor, the newest member of the AEW women’s division.

TNA Offers Two New Contracts

The TNA Knockouts division seems to have expanded even more.

Last weekend, TNA Wrestling took over the city of Pittsburgh for a set of television tapings. One of the night’s matches pitted indie stars Mila Moore against Jada Stone. In a surprise turn of events, both of them emerged as winners.

Following their in-ring performances, Stone and Moore were approached by TNA Head of Talent Relations Tommy Dreamer, TNA President Carlos Silva, and wrestling legend Jazz. Dreamer broke the news that each of them were being offered contracts with TNA.

“Jada, there are moments in life that no matter how hard you work, and even if you lose, you win. On behalf of TNA’s management, we would like to offer you a contract,” Dreamer said before extending the same gesture to Moore. Mila.

“Welcome both to the team. We’re very proud. Thanks so much,” added Silva.

Over the last year, Stone has made a handful of TNA appearances, including singles bouts against Rosemary and Ash By Elegance. Similarly, Moore has faced Xia Brookside and Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich.

In signing with TNA, Stone and Moore join other recent members, such as Indi Hartwell, Myla Grace, and Harley Hudson.
