The Britt Baker chatter continues.
The status of Britt Baker has been a hot topic of conversation in recent months. Despite reportedly being contracted to All Elite Wrestling for at least another year plus, the former AEW Women’s Champion has not been seen on television since November 2024. Amidst that television absence, Baker has now sparked further speculation on her whereabouts, courtesy of a cryptic social media post.
Baker shared a Kobi Simmons quote referencing the cost of water bottles on her Instagram story feed. Naturally, much of the internet wrestling community interpreted it as something much deeper.
“A bottle of water can be $1 at a supermarket, $3 at the gym, $5 at the movies, $6 on a plane… Same water. The only thing that changed its value was the place. So next time you feel your worth is nothing, maybe you’re at the wrong place,” read the post.
While the quote could be referencing something unrelated, many fans believe it could be a sign of the DMD considering a departure from AEW. A new report from is claiming the latter to be the case.
According to Mark of BodySlam.net, Britt Baker is “actively seeking” a route out of AEW. Sources told the outlet that Baker feels there is there is nothing swaying her to stay in AEW, with burned bridges and a “sense that the environment has changed around her” cited as notable issues. Still, as of this moment, AEW reportedly isn’t looking to release Britt Baker from her contract.
