Cedric Alexander Retains, Buddy Murphy Wait In The Wings On This Week’s 205 Live

Tonight’s episode of 205 Live was a very good show from start to finish, culminating with an excellent main event for the Cruiserweight Championship.

The first match had the self-proclaimed ‘Cruiser-Great’, TJP, going one-on-one with the Lucha House Party’s Lince Dorado. In a solid, back-and-forth contest, TJP went to dastardly measures to defeat Lince, unmasking him to get the upper hand and rolling him up for the victory:

Then in the main event, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander defended his title against Drew Gulak in a rematch from the SummerSlam pre-show. Gulak’s cohorts Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick tried to get involved early but were both met with ejections from the referee. The physical battle between Gulak and Alexander went a little over 20 minutes, as Alexander gutted his way with a desperate Lumbar Check:
