They continue to wedge Maryse and Brie Bella into a feud that does not need them, but if they want to drag the feud out to WrestleMania (as they should) they need to be creative. Working R-Truth into the main event was definitely a fun way to do it and he is doing some of his best work right now. He is very entertaining, funny and can still go in the ring.
The Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton feud and Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles feud did not move the needle a ton this week, but both continue to be entertaining and both should deliver fantastic matches at Hell in a Cell. Joe might be ready to be WWE Champion with the return match already set for Australia.
With those three feuds making Tuesday night must watch, it is perplexing that the writers still seem so confused by how to handle Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair. Becky is a face and any attempt to move her the other way will be met with a Roman Reigns like resistance. If she does not come out of this with a significant WWE Women’s Smackdown Championship reign then they really will have missed the boat.
The tag tournament giving Rusev Day a win over The Usos and Sanity was kind of confusing. There is clearly a lack of understanding with what they should do with Rusev, but it certainly is not the tag team division.
The Bar is waiting and the winner will get The New Day, which is will all be entertaining, but seems to not be a well thought out plan with the most talented tag team, The Usos, still being left in a lurch while the newest, most intriguing tag team, Sanity, has effectively been moved to the bottom of the division.
Oh … and where is Shinsuke?
