WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross on his latest edition of the Ross Report podcast revealed that machine gun armed men escorted the announcers to the broadcast table. Ross also revealed that all of the announcers had to first go through metal detectors when they entered the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
Ross then talked about the prayer break during the event, where the announcers had to put on a half-time show. Since Muslims pray for five times a day, one of the prayer times fell on during the event. The announce team had to do the haltime segment during the prayer break to continue the broadcast.
