Batista’s Avengers Has Biggest Opening Day Weekend Ever
CNN reports that Avengers: Infinity War has set the all time record for biggest grossing opening weekend in box office history. The new film, starring former WWE Superstar Batista, made $630 million worldwide in its opening weekend alone, shattering the previous mark held by The Fate of the Furious which earned an impressive $541 million in its opening weekend last year. The Fate of the Furious stars none other than fellow former WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. How well is Infinity War doing in its opening weekend in the United States? It has earned $250 million domestically topping 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens for the largest opening weekend in United States history. Batista was modest and humble on Twitter when responding to Ryan Satin’s congratulatory tweet:
I feel a little awkward saying thanks because I am in absolutely no way responsible for the success of the film, but I really appreciate your acknowledgement. Means a lot. Obviously! Otherwise I would’ve embarrassingly scrolled past this tweet! ?… thanks man! ✌?#dreamchaser https://t.co/tqQlkqhzLM
