As reported by PWInsider, five World of Sport tapings have been confirmed for Thursday 5/10 at 6:30 PM, Friday 5/11 at 2 PM and 6:30 PM and Saturday 5/12 at 2 PM and 6:30 PM in Norwich, England. For those who don’t know, World of Sport was a permanent fixture on British television for over 20 years and is still considered to be one of the big factors behind British wrestling’s rise. Following a New Year’s Eve special back in 2016 which featured the likes of Jim Ross, Grado, El Ligero and more, a 10-episode series was announced before eventually being shelved.
Now, the plans are back in motion, which ironically coincides with WWE renewing the United Kingdom Championship Tournament for this summer. WWE have been in something of a tug of war with ITV for some time now, with both parties attempting to attract some of the nation’s biggest stars to their respective product.
