There have been talks of WWE hosting a huge event in Australia later this year for quite some time now, and it appears as if we could be getting an official announcement as soon as WrestleMania 34. As reported by Herald Sun (you’ll have to subscribe to them in order to gain access to the full story), WWE is planning to hold an event at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 7th. This would be exactly one week after the AFL Grand Final, and the company are apparently expecting an attendance figure in excess of 100,000.

That could potentially mean that it breaks the all-time attendance record set at WrestleMania 32, and by the sounds of it, this show will be on a similar scale when it comes to size and star power. In terms of WWE’s current schedule, this show would take place after Hell in a Cell on September 16th and before TLC on October 21st.
