PWInsider.com is reporting that the following Superstars were backstage at last night’s Royal Rumble but were not used on the show:
- The Undertaker
- He was backstage watching his wife Michelle McCool compete in the women’s Royal Rumble match
- He did not give any indication to anyone PWInsider spoke with about his potential WrestleMania plans
- Pat Patterson
- Was there giving his insight
- Nikolai Volkoff
- Came in from Baltimore, where he lives
- There was never any plans to use him as part of the Rumble show
- Paige
- Was there but was not used on TV, even to accompany Absolution’s Mandy Rose and Sonya DeVille to the ring
- NXT talents
- Some were backstage but others left once they found out they would not be used on the show
