PWInsider.com has a new article up looking at some of the backstage news they know about this past Saturday night’s WWE Starrcade.

- Starrcade was filmed with multiple cameras for WWE’s archives
- This was done so that if WWE choose to release it later on WWE Network they can
- Michael Hayes was the one to pitch the first ever WWE Starrcade back in June
- Hayes pitched the show because of the timing and location and Vince McMahon agreed
- Hayes is also the one who wrote this past Saturday’s show
- The show was specifically written to pay tribute to the names that were important to the market during the Jim Crockett era
- Including the throwback graphics
- The event was a huge success and there is already talk of doing another Starrcade next year
