San Diego Comic Con 2017 WWE Toy Coverage Day 3 (Photos)

Yesterday was the final day of reveals at Mattel’s WWE San Diego Comic Con booth. Today marks the last day of the event and there are no plans for more to be revealed; however, several new superstars’ figures were shown that got people talking.

Among those shown yesterday were Elites of:

  • Kurt Angle (Flashback)
  • Tyler Bate (w/ UK title)
  • Rich Swann
  • TJ Perkins (w/ CWC title)
  • Bray Wyatt
  • Becky Lynch
  • Batista (Flashback)

Some new Basics were revealed as well, such as:

  • Sting (w/ in-match makeup)
  • Seth Rollins
  • Rhyno

Also revealed on WWE’s site was the new Elite Epic Moments series coming out early 2018.

It was hilarious, heartbreaking and even a bit harrowing. Whatever words you use to describe Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens“Festival of Friendship,” we can all agree on one descriptor that sums up its pageantry and tragedy: epic.

That’s why Mattel is kicking off its all-new WWE Epic Moments Series with an action figure set that allows collectors to recreate the final moments of Jeri-KO’s partnership, complete with the infamous “Creation of Kevin” poster, Jericho’s questionable statuary and the List of KO that sealed the fate of the first Undisputed Champion. Of course, this set also includes unique Elite-style action figures of Jericho and Owens, donning the attire they wore during the Feb. 13, 2017, edition of Raw.

Collectors can “drink it in, maaaaaan,” when the “Festival of Friendship” WWE Epic Moments set arrives in early 2018.

RingsideCollectibles.com will have another Storm Collectibles exclusive Hollywood Hogan figure coming in red and white attire coming later this year.

Kurt Angle will be part of the revamped Entrance Greats series Mattel released back when they obtained the license, where a figure will come with their entrance attire and a base that plays their entrance theme. Mattel mentioned they will be Elite this time instead of Basic and we can expect to see them in 2018 as well.

Matt & Jeff Hardy were surprisingly not revealed, nor were any new Goldberg figures, but Jeff & Matt are currently in the works and will most likely be revealed by Ringside Fest later this year.

One of the main concerns and confusion that arose from SDCC this year was the Basic arm and ankle articulation. Some Basics shown seem to have their bicep swivel joints and ankle joints removed while others revealed still had them. Mattel hasn’t come out and addressed this just yet.

Ringside Collectibles provided some more coverage videos if you’d like to see the figures and news directly from Mattel at SDCC as well as interviews with the Women of WWE about their new dolls:
