The following are results from Saturday’s Impact Wrestling television taping event in Orlando, FL. It’s unclear at this time which segments will air on the 3/30 episode or the 4/6 episode.
Xplosion Match: Reno Scum def. The DCC (Eddie Kingston & Bram)
Karen Jarrett opens the show and basically writes off Maria Kanellis, saying she had a nervous breakdown and her absence from television has caused unprofessional behavior within the Knockouts division. She specifically mentions Sienna, saying that everyone thinks she has become a problem. Sienna takes a shot, saying she got to Impact based on her merit, not because of who she’s married to. Karen fires back, saying that they have no idea what she did to get to where she is. “2 Cocky” Kevin Matthews is here. He’s going by KM and announces himself as Sienna’s cousin, and demands an apology from Karen. Out comes Braxton Sutter and Allie to make the save, and we’ve got a singles match between the men.
Xplosion Match: Laurel Van Ness def. MJ Jenkins
(1) Andrew Everett def. DJZ
Rosemary comes out for an in-ring interview with JB, and is asked if there is anyone left for her to beat as Knockouts Champion. She brags about “retiring” Gail Kim, and all the women she’s beat since becoming champion. Out comes ODB who claims she wants to become a five-time “Knocked-Up Champion”. This leads to pretty much all of the Knockouts coming out and getting into a huge brawl.
Ethan Carter III is out. After his loss to Alberto el Patron for the contender’s spot, he says he needs to evolve and become the EC3-time world heavyweight champion, but he’s cut off by James Storm, who doesn’t have his DCC boys with him. Storm says he built Impact Wrestling and was there for all the historic moments, and wonders where ECIII was for all of them. He says it’s his turn to become world champion again, and says the fans should decide who gets to be the next challenger to the title.
(2) KM def. Braxton Sutter. There was a post-match brawl that Sutter and Allie won over KM and Sienna.
(3) LAX def. The Decay, Reno Scum, and Garza Jr. & Laredo Kid in a four-way tag team match to become the new Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions!
(4) Eli Drake def. Caleb Konley
Bruce Prichard is out and says that he’s had enough of the drama between JB and Josh Matthews. The amount of heat that Matthews has in the Impact Zone is out of this world. He announces that each man will pick four wrestlers, and those guys will compete in an 8-man tag team match on the 4/6 show.
(5) ODB won a gauntlet match (which in TNA is a battle royal) to become the number one contender to the Knockouts Championship. The final four were ODB, Brandi Rhodes, Madison Rayne and MJ.
James Storm came out to his old “Longnecks & Rednecks” theme, and announces that the Cowboy is back! He puts over that the highest rated episode of Impact Wrestling was when he won the world title, and he plans to get it back. He’s cut off by Eddie Kingston and Bram, which leads to trash talking back and forth. The group officially breaks up as Kingston spits in Storm’s face, and Storm lays both guys out with superkicks.
(6) Andrew Everett def. Suicide & Marshe Rockett in a triple threat match.
(7) Davey Richards def. Eddie Edwards in a Last Man Standing match that is said to be excellent. Go out of your way to see this one. Angelina Love (Davey’s wife) was in the crowd with Alisha (Eddie’s wife) who just got offered a contract earlier in the night at the One Night Only pay-per-view.
