Another NJPW Faction Gets New Member
The Bullet Club wasn’t the only top New Japan stable to get a brand new member today. Himoru Takahashi (formerly Kamaitachi), who will be challenging KUSHIDA for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 11, joined forces with Los Ingobernables de Japon after a mid-match attack that cost KUSHIDA and Hiroshi Tanahashi their tag team match at today’s World Tag League Finals.
Takahashi, not to be confused with Bullet Club member Yujiro Takahashi, made his return to New Japan at last month’s Power Struggle event as the highly anticipated “Time Bomb”, following a successful trek in Ring of Honor.
Los Ingobernables de Japon has been steadily gaining grown in 2016, overtaking the Bullet Club as the most popular faction domestically (BC still outsells them globally). The group is led by Tetsuya Naito and also features former TNA star “Cold Skull” Seiya Sanada, who has completely revamped his career in New Japan, EVIL (formerly Watanabe), CMLL star Rush, and promising juniors star Bushi.
