According to Forbes’ Anthony DiMoro, despite Daniel Bryan retiring back in February of this year, WWE has not officially closed the door on a possible Bryan in-ring return. The following is an excerpt from the Forbes report:
As of now, WWE is planning to continue the angle of wrestlers calling out Bryan for his retirement and taunting Bryan for not being able to wrestle. WWE knows it’s a hot button topic with fans and will continue to tease a Bryan return. While, at this time, it still remains unlikely that Bryan returns to the ring in the future, WWE has “not completely shut the door on a Daniel Bryan return to the ring”.
Speculation regarding a possible Daniel Bryan ring return reached a fever pitch Tuesday night after Bryan and The Miz got into a much buzzed about confrontation on “Talking Smack”, which included Bryan calling Miz a “coward”, and Miz firing back. Miz maintained Bryan is the real coward since he promised his fans he would return to the ring but has yet to do so, in WWE or for another promotion.
