Michael Cole announces that Finn Bálor was injured last night during his match with Seth Rollins last night at SummerSlam. Bálor has a torn labrum and will be out for up to six months.
Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon are in the ring. They ask Bálor to join them. Bálor makes his way to the ring with his arm in a sling. Stephanie hands Bálor a mic so he can say a few words. The crowd breaks out into a loud “you deserve it” chant. Bálor says the championship represent a lifetime of sacrifice. It also represents that if you believe you can accomplish anything. Last night he became the first WWE Universal Champion. But there was a sacrifice. Bálor thanks the WWE for the opportunity, everyone in the back, and Seth Rollins for giving him the match of his life. Most importantly he wants to thank the fans. When he comes back, he is coming for his title. Foley takes the title from Bálor and Bálor leaves the ring.
