Backstage interviewer Tom Phillips is listed on WWE’s own website as being 6 foot tall. But as many online have pointed out, he somehow always appears shorter than the wrestlers he’s interviewing.
6 foot tall Phillips has been shorter than 5 foot 9 Xavier Woods, 5 foot 8 Neville and even 5 foot 3 Dana Brooke. The theory is that WWE are making Phillips crouch or possibly hunch over to make the wrestlers he stands next to appear bigger. WhatCulture Wrestling’s King Ross even caught WWErevealing the Tomspiracy on their SnapChat account during an interview with Dean Ambrose.
Well now WWE have accidentally revealed the truth behind the Tomspiracy again.
On their official Instagram account, WWE posted a backstage photo of Phillips interviewing Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho – both billed as 6 foot – clearly showing the announcer standing with his legs spread wide to make him look shorter!
