Jonathan Coachman Talks WWE – ESPN, Possible WWE Return
Former WWE announcer and current ESPN anchor Jonathan Coachman recently appeared on The Ross Report with Jim Ross, and you can listen to the entire episode at this link.
During the podcast, Coachman says he has no plans to return to WWE full-time anytime soon, but he did say he would love to appear on Raw once a week as “The Coach.”
Coach then talked about the WWE – ESPN relationship, and he revealed when he first brought the idea up to ESPN it was met with heavy resistance for the better part of three year. He added that ESPN officials finally came around to understanding that WWE is a viable product to cover, and his Off the Top Rope segment showcases WWE stars as real people, and focuses less on WWE story lines.
