The following results are tonight’s WWE Smackdown TV taping results from Des Moines, Iowa:
Dean Ambrose starts with a promo on Chris Jericho, saying how they are now even, and he took Jericho’s jacket as a return on “Mitch” last week. Jericho’s music cues up and the lights go out, but they come back up but Jericho attacks Ambrose from behind. He tries to put Ambrose in a straightjacket, then Jericho attacks him before a group of referees run out, and Jericho gloats by standing on the commentary table.
Rusev is shown backstage flipping out about what happened with Kalisto on RAW.
Rusev defeated Sin Cara
– Rusev won via submission with The Accolade. Kalisto was ringside for the match, and Lana got into with him and threw water at him, which distracted Sin Cara. Rusev ended up using this opening to kick Kalisto before he attacked Cara and made him tap.
Dana Brooke defeated Becky Lynch
– Brooke’s main roster debut match; she won via pinfall with a roll-up after a distraction by Emma.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are backstage with AJ Styles, and Styles promises to make sure Roman Reigns isn’t a problem if he gets involved in their match tonight.
Aiden English defeated Kofi Kingston
– English won via pinfall with a rope assist
Roman Reigns is backstage with The Usos, in a segment mirroring the previous one with The Club. Reigns tells The Usos he will be there for them if AJ Styles tries to interfere in their match.
