According to PWInsider.com, TNA’s lawsuit against Scott Steiner was dismissed back on February 22nd. A court date for the case had been scheduled for February 11th, but it was delayed and the case was ultimately dismissed by a Nashville judge on the 22nd. Furthermore, TNA is barred from filing the civil suit again and/or reopening the case.

For those unaware, the lawsuit was originally filed against Steiner back in the summer of 2012, as TNA claimed Steiner breached his contract, which had already expired, when he made disparaging remarks on Twitter about Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Brooke Hogan and other TNA officials. TNA also claimed Steiner’s contract prevented him “from making public statements, including tweeting, concerning TNA or any of its officials, wrestlers, or other individuals without prior approval.”

Steiner denied the claims made by TNA in the lawsuit, which sought to keep Steiner quiet. Steiner denied that he agreed not to disparage TNA, and he argued that the company did not suffer any damages as a result of the comments he made on social media.
