WWE Payback
Shortly after it was announced that WWE Payback was confirmed for the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, there were incorrect rumors and reports that the event would be hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
These reports are incorrect, and it started because the Prudential Center said in their Facebook announcement that “The Rock” was hosting WWE Payback. Some took it to mean the wrestler, when in fact “The Rock” refers to the building’s nickname, after Prudential’s company logo, which features the Rock of Gibraltar.
It should be noted that the Prudential Center’s social media accounts (and fans) regularly refer to the building as “The Rock”, and this time was just misinterpreted and mistakenly reported by other sources.
