WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin recently spoke with TMZ, and during the brief interview Austin was asked about Daniel Bryan’s retirement and concussions in WWE.
On Daniel Bryan’s retirement:
“I just think Daniel Bryan worked a very physical cruiserweight style and finally, after everything he did, it kinda took it out of him. I don’t think it’s going to be an epidemic.”
On concussions being a problem in WWE:
“Over the past 20 years, there’s only been a couple guys that had to bow out with concussions. Daniel worked his ass off and he was a hard worker, and his style finally caught up with him. It is what it is but I don’t think it’s an epidemic.”
On CTE becoming an issue in WWE:
“I’m not a doctor but I don’t think so.”
