Former Tag Team Champion Says WWE Should Allow Daniel Bryan to Wrestle

On last Friday’s Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast with John and Chad, former WWE Superstar Trevor Murdoch voiced his frustration for the fans of WWE that are clamoring for Daniel Bryan’s in ring return. Murdoch, after discussing how his release left him feeling as if there is no right way to be viewed as a star by management when doing things not put together by “creative” sympathizes with others that end up getting buried.

The following is an interview quote from Murdoch:

Everything that you are doing as you are working your way to get to WWE is if you are the best wrestler, you are the hardest worker, you will get elevated and get the push. That’s not the case in WWE. You may be the best wrestler but there is either somebody that A. doesn’t like you or B. doesn’t see your talent that other people do and they just let you flounder. Look at Bryan Danielson, how many times have they held that guy back and he is probably one of the most over guys on that roster still to this day and hasn’t worked in almost a year. What does that tell you? It tells you that guy is over and his wrestling can get over. People like wrestling but he is not what the WWE model is and it’s not what their idea is of what a top guy is. In turn they hold him back and put him in spots where to this day a UCLA Doctor has cleared him to wrestle and WWE still hasn’t. Let that man work. Let that man wrestle and give the people what they want. WWE knows what kind of power that man has with the people and they don’t want to give them that power back.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
