According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, long-time WWE creative writer Brian Gewirtz recently wrapped up his fifteen year career with the company. While he had taken a more minor role in recent years, working mostly from home and being brought in by request to write creative for The Rock when he was on television, Gewirtz was the head writer for WWE RAW for quite a few years. He was on hand for the June 29th edition of RAW in Washington, saying farewell to friends and coworkers backstage.
Interestingly, Gewirtz landed a job with 7 Bucks Productions, the company owned and operated by Dwayne Johnson and ex-wife Dany Garcia. 7 Bucks has taken off in recent years, announcing a massive “ROCK THE TROOPS” event for Veteran’s Day 2016, and co-producing Rock’s generally well-received HBO series, Ballers.
