WWE’s new “ECW Unreleased Volume 3” is a 3-disc DVD set and 2-disc Blu-ray set, the third installment in the popular Home Video series. For those that don’t know, the ECW Unreleased series features previously unreleased matches and segments from Extreme Championship Wrestling – matches that have not previously been made available on WWE DVDs and are not streaming on the WWE Network. This time around that’s also extended to unseen backstage footage and promos too.
Joey Styles returns as host, joined by bWo members The Blue Meanie and Stevie Richards. They provide host segments between the featured content which all in all is 28 matches and a handful of backstage footage bits, bloopers and “deleted scenes”. Take a look at the full list of selected matches and other chapters at this link: http://wwene.ws/1DqH2Ir, and read through a revealing in-depth review of the DVD/Blu-ray at this link: http://wwene.ws/1bkRtlt. The review notes that WWE has had Joey Styles record new commentary for some of the matches being seen for the first time.
All in all, the DVD compiles over 7 hours of original ECW footage, while the Blu-ray has almost 9 hours of content due to certain matches, backstage promos and other segments being exclusive to that version. Check out a few first look screenshots below.
