Why WWE Stock Dropped Today
As noted, the WWE stock actually dropped today despite WWE announcing an increase in Network subscriptions.
Fool.com has published a new article covering the stock dropping today and hypothesized the drop was due to the uncertainty of future growth based on comments made by WWE CFO George Barrios during the conference call. Barrios had the following to say during the call:
“We are also confident in the long-term potential and understand subscriber growth could take many different paths. For example, Network subscribers might show consistent sequential quarterly gains or the quarterly adoption curve could exhibit seasonality with year-over-year growth. Regardless, over the long-term, we believe WWE Network has the potential to drive significant economic returns.”
Raw Pre-Show Hosting Change Tonight
Because the WWE Raw pre-show is taking place live from The SAP Center in San Jose tonight, Byron Saxton has replaced Scott Stanford as one of the show hosts.
Stanford also works for WPIX-TV out of New York City, so he is working for the station tonight as opposed to hosting the pre-show.
