Randy Orton No Longer Scheduled For Smackdown
WWE Superstar Randy Orton is no longer advertised for this week’s (newly scheduled) live episode of WWE Smackdown.
Orton was originally scheduled to appear at both RAW and SmackDown this week but he has been pulled from appearing. Orton is still scheduled to make an appearance at the Washington Auto Show in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., but there is no word on when he will return to in-ring competition.
Orton is advertised for Monday’s RAW at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, but things could change as he has also been advertised for this week’s tapings, as well as the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which turned out to be a “swerve” by WWE.
Brock Lesnar Negotiating A MMA Return?
Spike TV President Kevin Kay recently spoke to MMAFighting.com about Bellator MMA President Scott Coker being a good fit for the MMA league, and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar‘s name did come up in the conversation.
Regarding Coker’s recruitment of several top names including Fedor Emilianenko and Gina Carano, Kay said,
“He has the relationships to talk to everybody. He’s with Fedor. He’s talking to Brock, he’s talking to Gina. These are people he’s known for years, so we are in a better position to potentially land those people.”
Coker said last month that there were no serious conversations with Brock at the time, but when it’s time “we’ll be right there.”
