WWE’s NXT promotion held a live event in Starkes, FL this weekend, just two nights after the NXT Takeover live special, and one night after their monthly television taping at Full Sail University. The line-up was filled with developmental talents, as most of the NXT stand-outs were on the road with the main WWE roster.
NXT Live
Starkes, FL
September 13, 2014
(1) Becky Lynch & Alexa Bliss def. Kendall Skye & Sasha Banks
(2) Kalisto def. Tye Dillinger. Sin Cara was on the road with the WWE Live crew, so no tag action for the new NXT Tag Team Champions. Dillinger was apparently wearing near gear also.
(3) CJ Parker def. Chad Gable
(4) Colin Cassidy def. Jason Jordan
(5) Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder def. Troy McClan & Elias Sampson
(6) Bull Dempsey def. Angelo Dawkins
(7) The Vaudevillians def. Buddy Murphy & Wesley Blake
(8) Bayley def. NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte in a non-title match.
KILLAM: Why even go on the road with a skeleton crew? Neville, Breeze, Zayn, Sin Cara, and The Ascension were with the WWE caravans, and might end up backstage at Raw and Smackdown Monday and Tuesday. I’m not saying anyone on this line-up is bad, but can you imagine getting excited for an NXT live event in your town, and literally all of the top names are gone? Not even Mojo Rawley was there!? If they’re going to use the top names for WWE events, they really need to allow the new signees (Steen, Kenta, etc.) to start carrying the live shows.
